The Trip?

The What Do You Believe America? Tour (Tour) is a cross-country quest to discover what the people on the streets of America believe about questions foundational to our society such as:

What is truth? What is evil? Who is God? Who is man? Why are we here? Where did we come from? What happens when we die? Should politics be concerned with ethics & morals?

The Tour started in Los Lunas, New Mexico on July 4th of 2009 and is continuing throughout the United States targeting sites important to the founding and shaping of our nation and finally ending in Washington D.C. The Tour will also be used to share the Biblical answers to these questions through distribution of printed materials, bibles, and face to face discussions. The Tour team is comprised primarily of youth ages 15 through 22 traveling by RV across our great country.

GOALS
There are several goals to this tour.
The first and prime goal of the tour is to glorify our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by sharing the good news of the gospel through personal evangelism.

The second goal is to encourage local churches in reaching their communities through using the tour as a catalyst for personal evangelism.

The third goal is to re-discover the spiritual foundations of this nation, the faith of those who established it and those who have died defending it. This discovery is first-hand for the members of the team but it is our desire to present this story as well to all who will listen through the use of our Weblog containing stories, accounts, and videos from the tour.

METHOD
RVs are used to carry the team of approximately 17 people. Each RV is “Wrapped” with the graphical theme of the tour.
The approach for outreach is centered around a Web-documentary. A professional camera with detached microphone and lighting system is used for interviews. Participants are asked for their answers to the questions mentioned above. Our approach is non-aggressive, we seek to understand what the participant believes. When the interview is finished, the person will be invited to consider what the Bible says about the questions. In addition to the video-interviews, other team members will engage people in the area in discussions about truth. Bibles and tracts will be offered to all and given to those who desire them.

LOGISTICS
The Tour is planned to last four weeks. Three of these weeks will be used to reach Washington D.C. and one week will be used to return to New Mexico.

CONCLUSION
Our prayer is that This Tour will present the true spiritual history of our nation and encourage the church at large to remember and stand for the freedoms our fathers fought and died for.
